I've clicked to apply for a Job, however it shows that it has expired before the closing date?

 

Many of the vacancies advertised on Jobsfromblue are shared throughout a network of sites that we are associated with and each job advertised may potentially have a limit to the number of candidates that can apply.  Once this limit has been reached then the job is automatically expired from the network.  We do update the site as often as possible to remove expired vacancies, however they do mount up fast with over 100,000 users at any one time on Jobsfromblue applying for vacancies!  If the job has expired, don't give up, why not sign up to Jobsfromblue.com and wait for updates of when a similar vacancy may become available!

 

 

 What is the point in JobsfromBlue?

 

 

It allows you the job seeker to tell the employer a little more about yourself beyond your CV and show them that you are the right person for the Job!

 

I've signed up but the job I'm looking for isn't on your site?

 

Tell us, we'd love to hear from you and it gives us a good idea of what sort of jobs are on demand at any one time.   We will do our utmost to find you the job you're looking for! Just simply go to the contact us part of the website, write your message stating your name and contact details along with a brief message as to what sort of job you are looking for and we will endeavor to find that placement.

 

I've applied for a job but had no luck?

 

Again, tell us! We can talk you through what can be done to improve your approach or put you in contact with other job boards and agencies that may increase your chances of employment.

 

I've got a profile, but I'm not sure what to put?

 

Our CV builder breaks your CV up into three simple parts, education, work experience and personal statement.   However there is so much more to you profile.   Be creative, answer the quiz questions as employers look at those to determine more about you, put a professional photo of yourself up and fill out the 'little bit about you part' and tell us more about yourself on a professional personal level (no life stories guys!).   You also have a message board, why not scan our list of employers and message them with your questions about them and their company.   Companies like people with an active interest in them!

 

I've already written my CV in word or another application, how do I upload this onto the site?

 

Because jobsfromblue is a social networking job board your profile and CV builder allows you to cut and paste your already written CV onto our website.   Just select the text you wish to put on out site from your already written CV, highlight, right click, and select copy and then paste the text in the appropriate boxes on the site.   Its that simple!

 

I've tried uploading my photo but it hasn't worked?

 

Make sure that you picture is saved under as a JPEG file, this is easy to do, just go to your photo, go to save as and at the bottom of the next box where you can edit the title of the file, you can below this select 'save as file type' click the scroll down bar and select JPEG.

 

I've done the JPEG conversion but its still not worked?

Maybe your picture is too large and exceeds the photo download limit of the site, if this is the case, you can edit your photo to a smaller size (you can even do this on paint) do this and then it will load onto the website.

 

Can I apply for jobs without signing up too the site?

 

You can browse the jobs as a normal visitor to the site; however you must sign up and create a profile in order to apply for a job on the site.

 

I'm quite a personal person and I don't want just anybody being able to view my CV?

 

At Jobsfromblue we understand about privacy and respect that.   Therefore we have introduced a part on your profile which says hide CV, this means only registered employers can see you CV and no one else.

 

I'm looking through the job listings but there are so many, how do I get straight to the profession I wish to work as?

 

When under the search jobs part of the site, you will notice a search bar on the left hand side of the screen, simply type in the word or phrase of job/profession you are looking for and then click search under jobs! The search engine will then find you all the word related jobs under that search.
